Music, Music, Music!

So lately I have been listening a lot to Brandi Carlile. She is actually amazing. I first heard her on Grey's Anatomy and after that I downloaded a few of her albums and she is really good!
I personally like her newest album the best its called "Give Up the Ghost"

Thats the album cover, go listen to some of the songs...right now!
I am not to sure how to add a video in...but go to youtube right now...or any other way you choose to listen to music and listen to this album! My favorite songs are 'That Year' and 'Before it Breaks'

Its actually interesting I read about the meaning to the song 'That Year' and its about a friend she had in high school who chose to end their life with suicide. It really makes you think, why some people chose to end their lives with suicide. If you watch one of the live videos of her playing this on youtube she explains why she wrote the song, and how she thought of it.

Well I think everyone should go an listen right now, its a beautiful song. I would love to learn how to play guitar so I could sing it! I looked up the guitar tabs and it doesn't seem too hard. But I have no experience in playing guitar so I think it would be hard to learn.

So now that this post is over, you can go over to youtube and listen to this wonderful song and then you will know what I'm talking about! :)

Wedding Bells are ringing..

Im getting married!!

Haha, just kidding. But, a good friend of mine recently asked me to be her maid of honor. :)
So congratulations to her!
But this got me thinking, what is the job of a maid of honor?
Do you plan the bridal shower? Because I don't think I could pull that off. But it was exciting christmas news, and I am very happy for her!

I don't have much to say in this post except that, and I need a job. It would be quite wonderful. Ugh.

Oh the weather outside is frightful...

But the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

Sorry for the long hiatus guys. For awhile I just didn't have time to go onto the computer and write a blog. I am hoping that with christmas around the corner I will maybe have some extra time inside to sit down and write on my computer. So sit back, go get your self a warm cup of hot cocoa and take a little time to read this post :)

Today was the first snow of the season! I guess not techinally, but it was the first snow that stuck on the ground. So the first snow that comes, everyone has to remember to be careful while driving. I'm not going to lie, I always forget how careful you actually have to be on the road...until I start to slip :/
I hope to get outside more this winter, and go snowboarding which I love to do! Unfortuanately I did not buy a season pass this year. I really wish I would have, and I still can, so we will see. I actually really like to snowboard, and I would put up a picture of my snowboard, but there are none to be found! :(
My other favorite thing that I would love to do this winter, is go out and take some pictures. I took a few last  year, but not as many as I would have liked. Its all because I get cold quite easily, so being outside for about 10 minutes makes me freeze! Which isn't fun at all. But, here are some photo's for you to enjoy.

These are the best ones of the few I took, yeah I'm not a proffessional photographer so don't make fun! har har.

Christie I need to post a picture for you, so here it is.

Look at the COOL effects I did.
(psst. the program is cyberlink youcam)

Well uh, that is all I have for today. I shall blog again soon.
Tata for now :)

So many keys, so little time.

When the college gave me keys, they gave me keys for a reason. You know you would think, hey carry these around all the time. Well I guess i didnt get that memo?
Anyways, one night like a normal night my two other roomates that arent in my room went to bed and me and my roomate were up and just sitting around. Well my roomate decided to take a shower, and so when she left. I changed into my pajamas which consisted of shorts and a sports bra. Because it was very hot in our room.
Anyways, then I realized I had to pee really bad, and I couldnt because my roomate was in the shower. So I thought, I should just run to the neighbors then run back. Sounds easy right?
No. I guess not.
So I went up to the door un - locked it then left. I knocked on the neighbors door and they didnt answer so I just decided to wait for my roomate to get out of the shower.
I prance back over to my room...and turn the handle. OH WAIT, I actually didnt lock it...and I am now stuck in the hallway ... with no keys, no phone, and in my sports bra. COOL.
So as I stand there thinking of possibilities, I decide to run upstairs to go to one of my friends room. They answer the door and I tell them my story, so we decide to try and see if any of my roomates are on facebook, no luck. Our next plan is, CALL THE ROOM PHONE! So we look it up on this people search inventory on the UMD website. We find it and call, of course no answer.
Then as we are looking at my search on the UMD website, I realize that, hey! my cell phone number is listed on this! I bet my other two roomates numbers are on theirs as well! So we search one of my roomates and call the number listed.
...that was NOT her cellphone number.
Her mom answered, and I got scared and hung up.
I then decided to run back to my room and knock for like 20 minutes.
It worked and I finally got let back into my room.

Sorry for the hiatus

Sorry about not posting much, I realized I really don't go on the computer that often. For some reason if I am bored with nothing to do I would rather lay in my bed and stare at nothing than go on my computer.
Don't ask me why it makes no sense. Or maybe its because last year during college that's all I did was go on my computer. Who knows.
Oh well, maybe now I will try and go on here a few times and write some posts. Because I know you all enjoy hearing about my life :D

Well since I've last written a lot of things has happened, I got thee mini cooper. And I moved to Duluth to go back to school.

The mini cooper is a big hit here at school. I met this guy who told me he parks next to the mini cooper every single time he parks so he can look at it (creepy?). My friends also named it "The Brit". Most of all when I drive around I just get lots of stares and honks and when I tell people thats my car, "OMG YOU HAVE A MINI COOPER?!" It's quite funny for me. I love it :)

This is me and my new roomates, Laura, Brenna, Nicole and ME.

Yesterday me and my new roomates went to this thing called the harvest fest. It was this little event going on down in canal park, and they had a farmers market, homemade ice cream, a bunch of organic food, some cool candles and different recycled items to buy. But best of all they had FREE KITES TO FLY in the large park too the side.
They were the smaller kites, so they weren't as good as say..christie or brians kites? hah just kidding. but not really...
anyways, mine had a big bunch of balloons for the picture on it, and my roomates all got one with an ugly bird on it.
We took some action shots of our amazing kite flying skills.MAN LOOK AT ME GO! Looking at this you may think I am a proffesional, but don't be alarmed...I'm not.

Anyways, thats all for today folks.
Today I am closing off the blog with a rediculous picture of me squinting in the sun.

Oh joy for car shopping.

So as I enter my second year in college my dad FINALLY realized that its time to get the forgotten child a car. Why i say forgotten child you ask? Well. Everyone in my family (yes everyone including my YOUNGER brother) has a car...except me.
So say my sister has to work, my mom works, my dad works, my brothers out. I get stuck at home. Without a car. And yeah I do share with my sister, but hey everyone wants their own!

So finally my dad agreed to get me a car by the end of summer before I move back to duluth to go to school, which is September 3rd by the way. Its August 24. He doesn't have that many days left...

Well so now we finally started to go car shopping, except on Sunday. Car dealerships are closed on sunday, so you can just drive through and look.

Except most of the car lots look like this, because they are full of the "Cash for Clunkers" thing. There just all these really crappy cars parked really closely together.
And then beside them finally we reach the, yes you guessed it, USED CARS!!!!!

I am very thankful that my dad has offered to buy me a car actually, and he has offered me a decent price cap on cars. I think its about 9,000. Cheer cheer. I am happy.

Anyways, these last 2 sundays we have been looking at dealerships and I have found a few that I like. At one point we walked passed one of these:A mini cooper, incase you didn't know what that is. Well anyways we walked past one and my dad said "OOH! Look at this! You like this?"
I reply, "Yeah I guess its alright."
And I guess that instantly means that I really want one and enjoy it a lot? Because he started looking for better deals on them. Then today he asked me if I would like to get one, I said yeah I don't know there alright. And now he thinks I hate them.
My father is the most confusing person I have ever met.

I mean I guess these coopers are alright, but I'm not sure. I would just enjoy any car in the least. Ha.

A quote from my dad to end this post, "Any young man that saw you in this car would think it's a very sharp car!"

Ohhhh, dad. :)

P.S: Update on the sleeping project. I of course didn't follow up on thee water project, but I havent been tired enough to take a nap all day! :) So I must have done something different. Maybe I just kept busy all day.

I searched "Sleep" into a great art website (deviantart.com) and this was one of the top hits.
Cute, and fits the word perfectly.

Goodnight, fellow readers.

New at blogging.

So a lot of people I know have been getting into this whole blogging thing. And I've always wanted to blog, and I thought about doing it and..now I am!

If you have time after reading this you should read some other really great blogs ...
my sisters blog (thats a link.. CLICK IT) its called "I fold omelettes" and it's really interesting.
you should also read my sisters boyfriends blog I also think thats a great blog.
SO read them both...and mine :)

Anyways I think I should explain the title of this blog, well lately all I do is sleep. Seriously, I work like 3-4 hours a day...then come home and sleep. Yeah I guess that makes me sound kinda lame...but see I do go out and do things with friends but I'm just tired when I'm with them!
Like today for example, last night I went to bed at midnight and woke up around 9:30. Thats roughly 8 to 9 hours which is the recommended dose! Anyway, I woke up and went to work. I worked until 2 and then I went car shopping with my dad.
The entire car ride, I was just getting more and more tired...to where I couldnt keep my eyes open. Then I got home around 5ish and slept until 7 and now I am writing this.
So why am I still tired?! I ask myself the same question.
So here I some to Google, and search ways to make yourself less tired. I learned some actually interesting things.
One of the things that I might actually try is "Drink enough water"
who knew that water affected your energy level? Not me..
This website claims that drinking less then 8 cups of water a day (the recommended dosage) makes your more sluggish. So me? Yes. I NEVER drink water.
I texted this to a friend and her response: "I'm going to force you to drink water the next time I see you."
Well hey I'm glad someones going to force me!
So I think this next week I will try and drink the recommended dosage and drink lots of water...maybe I will be more awake (:
I shall keep you posted!
Tata for now fellow readers :)
